Jennifer Garvin
Jenn works for Climate Action Pathways for Schools (CAPS), a nonprofit that partners with schools to provide inspiring climate education programs and implement projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while saving money for the school district. She manages the Energy & Sustainability Program in Porterville Unified School District where she supports CAPS interns in developing and implementing an ambitious climate action plan for the district. Prior to joining CAPS, Jenn completed a year of Americorps service with Our City Forest, an urban forestry nonprofit in San Jose, California organizing tree plantings across the city. She then spent the next four years teaching, working, and studying in Chile, Spain, and Scotland. She has a Bachelors in Geosciences and Environmental Studies from Skidmore College and a Masters in Environmental Protection and Management from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
