Bay Area Director

Kate Casale

Kate Casale is the current Bay Area Director for the Student Conservation Association, a youth workforce development and environmental justice organization that provides youth with paid training, recreation, and hands-on work serving our land management partners. Prior to her current role with SCA, Kate supported agriculture education and food justice efforts at the Alameda County Office of Education and Merritt College through Project EAT and various Career Pathway initiatives. Kate has worked to provide hundreds of youth with project-based and work-based learning experiences on the land, train students and teachers in using Participatory Action Research Methods to address policy, systems, and environment issues, and to build youth resiliency through connection to nature.
