Emily M. Schell, Ed.D., is executive director of the California Global Education Project at the University of San Diego. Dr. Schell is a former teacher, principal, and district Social Studies Resource Teacher for San Diego Unified School District. She served as History-Social Science Coordinator at the San Diego County Office of Education, Liaison for the National Geographic Education Foundation, and faculty at San Diego State University School of Education. She was Co-Chair for CAELI, Steering Committee Member for Seeds to Solutions, and author for EEI curriculum, and remains committed to climate change and environmental justice education.
