Estrella Risinger

Estrella Risinger is the executive director of the Association for Environmental & Outdoor Education (AEOE), where she works to advance the impact of environmental and outdoor education in California. Estrella has been with AEOE since January 2019. That same year, AEOE was named Outstanding Affiliate of the Year by the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE). AEOE is the professional association for environmental and outdoor educators in California and serves as the state’s affiliate through NAAEE’s network of statewide and regional organizations. Previously Estrella served as the national education manager at NatureBridge, the largest education partner of the National Park Service. As the project manager of the Residential Environmental Education Partnership, a national collaborative convened by NatureBridge that focused on understanding and elevating the role of social and emotional learning (SEL) within residential learning centers, Estrella helped to launch the website grow-outside.org, a SEL toolkit for residential environmental learning centers.
