Green Career Education Initiative

GOALS

Create equitable access to the high-growth, living-wage green careers essential to creating a sustainable future.
Facilitate the development of an environmentally-literate workforce by fostering the integration of career and environmental education into TK-14 CTE and other academic coursework.
Find new ways to provide all students equitable access to high-wage careers, jobs, and trades that support a green economy.

This initiative is focused on three key projects:

Increased Awareness of Work Based Learning: Support an increase in work based learning opportunities on the CAELI Partner Portal (CAPP).
Webinar Series: Host a professional learning webinar series focused on how each CTE Sectors has integrated green practices, and providing examples of LEA promising practice profiles and industry partners who are implementing green career education within each sector.
Socialize the CAELI Green Career Call to Action with an emphasis on catalyzing actions in Recommendation 1.
