Jennifer Mutch
Jennifer Mutch is a science coordinator at the Santa Clara County Office of Education. Previously she worked for 16 years as a middle school elementary school teacher with a passion for science education. Her involvement with environmental literacy began as an elementary student and has continued throughout her college and educational career. Jennifer has worked with the National Park Service, where she helped to develop and lead education programs that incorporated the Next Generation Science Standards with an emphasis on California’s Environmental Principles and Concepts. As a master teacher for the National Education Association (NEA), Jennifer has written lessons and served as a teacher-leader and co-director for CSU’s professional development for K–8 teachers. She has been involved in NGSS leadership teams in multiple California counties and districts, and on the California Science Teachers Association’s Conference Committee, and serves on the board of the Gold Coast Science Network.
