Leah Graniela-Loving
As the Founding Director of Sembrando Lab, LLC., Leah Graniela-Loving is a mission-driven leader who believes in the transformative power of community learning. With over 20 years of experience in youth development and equity education, Leah has dedicated her career to crafting programs that prioritize equity and social justice. With a B.A. from Wellesley College and an M.Ed. with a concentration in Equity and Social Justice from San Francisco State University, Leah has acquired expertise in various domains, including youth development, environmental education, STEM, civic engagement, and community health. At Sembrando Lab, Leah spearheads initiatives aimed at reconnecting individuals with their relationship to the land to cultivate resilience, stewardship, and freedom. Her approach is equity-driven, centering inclusion and belonging for marginalized identities historically excluded in program development. Through partnerships with environmental education organizations and other nonprofits, Leah employs methods such as training, curriculum development, and community research, all underpinned by equitable program design principles and frameworks. One of Leah’s greatest passions lies in creating innovative learning environments that foster a sense of belonging. She is deeply committed to systems change and paradigm shifts, always striving to unleash the power of communities to reach their full potential. Leah firmly believes in the interconnectedness of individuals with one another and the planet, recognizing its vital role in driving positive transformations. With her vibrant personality and honed skills, Leah effectively connects with people and inspires positive change within organizations.
