Dr. Sean McPhetridge has served as Superintendent of Cabrillo Unified School District in Half Moon Bay since 2019 after having served as Superintendent of Alameda Unified School District from 2014-2019. During his time in Alameda Unified School District, Sean and district colleagues there dedicated efforts to work on environmental literacy efforts leading to Green Ribbon designation for three schools there and NOAA Ocean Guardian status for the district and several schools. During his time in Cabrillo Unified School District, Dr. McPhetridge has worked to lead efforts at increased solar power generation, water conservation, energy use improvements, and gardening education in schools. Dr. McPhetridge is very grateful for the active partnerships that so many districts have benefitted from in recent years with BaySci, Ten Strands, San Mateo County Office of Education, and The HEAL Project to bring meaningful environmental literacy to students in the Bay Area.
