Julie Hilborn
Julie Hilborn is the Coordinator of Environmental Literacy and Sustainability at the San Mateo County Office of Education. Julie’s multi-faceted career in formal and informal science/environmental education includes a variety of roles, including middle school science teacher, adjunct university faculty for pre-service science teachers, teacher on special assignment (TOSA) for a National Science Foundation grant program, and trainer/editor for an environmental consulting firm. Her varied experience also includes K-8 Educator at the Randall Museum, workshop facilitator for numerous environmental organizations, Instructor for the Outward Bound School in Zimbabwe, Naturalist at San Mateo Outdoor Education, and Community Organizer for San Carlos Green. She holds a BA from Stanford, an MA from San Jose State, an administrative credential from SMCOE and a teaching credential from San Francisco State.
