Ann Van Leer

Ann Van Leer has been the executive director of The Escondido Creek Conservancy non-profit for over a decade, where she oversees a staff of 12 who work together to manage 3,000 acres of conservation land and implement outdoor education programs to youth and adults in North San Diego County. With her help, the Conservancy has acquired over 2,000 acres of critical conservation land and secured tens of millions in grants and other funding. Van Leer has over 35 years of conservation and other policy experience at the federal, state and local levels, including serving as chief of staff and policy advisor to elected and appointed officials.  A California native, Van Leer is a licensed real estate broker and has brokered both large and small land conservation transactions for private and non-profit clients through her business Land Conservation Brokerage www.landconserve.com.
